All about Relay Races
A relay race is a team race where each runner covers part of the total distance. Runners pass a baton to the next team member within a marked box. Dropping the baton or stepping out of the box can lead to disqualification.
Relay teams practise handovers so that the baton passes smoothly at full speed. The fastest team is not always the team with the fastest runners, because good teamwork and timing can make a big difference.
