All about Space Shuttles
The Space Shuttle was a reusable spacecraft that carried astronauts and equipment into orbit between 1981 and 2011. It launched like a rocket and landed like an aeroplane. The shuttle helped build and supply the International Space Station.
Its design allowed parts of it to be reused, which was a major change from earlier spacecraft that were used only once.
