All about Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs were a group of reptiles that lived on land for about 165 million years. They appeared roughly 230 million years ago and died out about 66 million years ago, when a huge asteroid and volcanic activity changed the climate.
Not all dinosaurs were huge. Some were as small as a chicken. Many birds are actually living dinosaurs, descended from small feathered dinosaurs. Scientists learn about them from fossils, footprints and eggs.
