All about Chess

Chess is a strategy game for two players. Each player has 16 pieces: a king, a queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights and eight pawns. The goal is to checkmate the opponent's king, meaning it is under attack and cannot escape.

Each piece moves in its own way. Pawns move forward, rooks move in straight lines, bishops move diagonally, knights jump in an L-shape and the queen moves in any direction. Chess develops planning, memory and problem-solving skills.
