๐Ÿ’ก Fun fact

All about Dividing with Remainders

Sometimes a number does not divide exactly into another. The amount left over is called the remainder. For example, when 17 is shared into groups of 5, you get 3 groups with 2 left over.

You can write the answer as 3 remainder 2. Remainders are useful in real life. If 20 pupils travel in cars that hold 6, you need 4 cars, because 3 cars would leave 2 pupils without a seat.
