All about The Snowplough
A snowplough is a vehicle with a large blade at the front that pushes snow off roads, runways and paths. It keeps roads clear so that people and goods can travel safely in winter. Some snowploughs also spread salt or grit to help stop ice forming.
Snowploughs often work through the night during heavy snowfall. Drivers should always give snowploughs plenty of room on the road, because they can need extra space to turn.
