๐Ÿ’ก Fun fact

An eggshell has thousands of tiny holes.

All about Eggs

Eggs are packed with high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals. Most eggs we eat come from hens, but ducks, quail and other birds also lay eggs that are eaten. An egg has a shell, a white (albumen) and a yolk, which is the yellow centre.

Eggs can be boiled, fried, scrambled, poached or baked in cakes. When eggs are heated, the proteins set, which is why eggs become firm when cooked. Eggs are also an important ingredient in baking because they help dough and batter rise and hold together.
