Harvest Festivals

Harvest festivals celebrate the gathering of crops at the end of the growing season. People share food, give thanks and hold parades, music and games. Many harvest festivals also decorate churches, halls and homes with fruit, vegetables and grain.

Harvest festivals are celebrated in many countries and have ancient origins. They remind people of the importance of farming and the work of everyone who grows food.
