All about Online Maps
Online maps use satellites, GPS and data from many sources to show roads, buildings and places. They can give directions, show public transport and estimate how long a journey will take. Some maps also show traffic and road closures in real time.
Map apps often use information from phones to work out traffic speeds. You can zoom in to see streets or zoom out to see whole countries. Checking a map before you travel helps you plan a safer route.
