Squirrels

Squirrels are small rodents with bushy tails that are often found in parks and woodlands. Many squirrels bury nuts and seeds in autumn to eat later in winter. They find their food again using a strong sense of smell.

A squirrel's bushy tail helps it balance when it leaps between branches and can also keep it warm in cold weather. Squirrels sometimes forget where they buried food, which helps new trees to grow.
