Ancient Sparta

Sparta was a powerful city-state in ancient Greece, known for its strong army and tough training. Spartan boys began military training at about the age of seven and were taught discipline and endurance. Spartan society focused on being ready for war.

Spartan warriors were famous for their bravery and fighting skills. Sparta was very different from Athens, which valued art, learning and democracy. Both cities were important in Greek history.
