Piñata Parties

A piñata is a decorated container, often shaped like an animal or a star, filled with sweets or small gifts. At parties, people take turns hitting it with a stick while blindfolded until it breaks open. Piñatas are most famous in Mexico, where they are used at birthdays and festivals.

Piñatas were originally made from clay pots, and the decoration was added to represent good fortune. Today they are often made from paper and card. Piñata parties are a fun way to bring children together for a shared celebration.
