Bharatanatyam

Bharatanatyam is a classical Indian dance style that tells stories through expressive hand gestures, footwork and facial expressions. It originates from Tamil Nadu in southern India. Dancers train for many years to master its precise movements.

Bharatanatyam dancers use hand gestures called mudras to express emotions and tell stories. The dance is performed to classical music and often includes rhythmic footwork.
